Perhaps I will also take this opportunity to show you some of what’s been taking up my time. I decided to take Art Education-Sculpture, thinking it would be a nice, easy way to finish off the semester.

I forget that I’m a perfectionist, and that this is basically the art equivalent of sending a flabby ex-athlete to some kind of super-accellerated bootcamp.
This is supposed to be a “mask” combining representations of ourselves and an animal. I decided to go for a goat. Apparently, I identify with something that’s creepy, eats everything, and is rather ornery. Well, and playful, smart, important for textiles and other household products, agile, and cute. But mostly creepy comes through. It still needs to be fired and painted (we’re not glazing, sadly), but you get the idea.
