This is something they apparently get asked. Frequently. This is apparently a BIG PROBLEM for BC residents. Living on boats. Getting confused. It’s a hard life on the frontier.

Also, if an employer impedes their employees from having time to vote, they can be fined $10 000 or sent to jail for a year. If you tell them your employer is a raging asshole, they will send them SO MANY disapproving faxes, and phone them and give them a STERN TALKING TO. This is my country, guys. This is actually how we do things.

I’ve been thinking a lot about babbies, lately, on account of I’m hoping I can get on that in about a year, and also I was re-reading Hark, A Vagrant!, and thinking about those awful shirts, and then I wondered:

Are those even a thing anymore?

Was that just a horrible aberration that happened to children in the 90’s?

I can’t risk my offspring being deprived of the opportunity to have dumb shirts with animals and stuff on them, so I may have to make them myself. These are the sort of thing I can envision putting on them.

So, last night, I wrote my Archaeology final, and we had to prepare a mock research proposal (but actually write it in the exam) regarding a hypothetical tribe’s traditional area (called the “Toofortii,” {the class number is 240} because my teacher is a dork)

and

I now know way more about ochre and its uses in traditional society than I ever wanted to know.

But I also learned that I’m actually pretty good when it comes to super slap-dash research? We were supposed to spend a month preparing for it, but I spent two days because I forgot. Whee!

But on the plus side, NOW I’M FREE!

I’m tired of people saying that Black Widow’s suit in the film is impractical, thus it’s only there to make her look sexy, so let’s take a look at her suit and Clint’s suit side by side.

As you can see, it’s the same general make. Tight-fitting to promote agility, dark colours to aid stealth, and made to accommodate their personal weapons of choice. The material looks rather similar in both, so I’m assuming the suits give them the same amount of protection.

If we’re going by some sort of exposure factor, Clint’s suit is much more revealing. He’s got a lot more skin showing.

The only difference I’m seeing here is that Natasha has breasts and Clint doesn’t.

So basically, when people call Natasha a slut/skank based on the “flimsy” suit that she’s wearing but see no fault in the fact that Clint is wearing what looks to be very similar materials, all I’m hearing is, “She has boobs, so she must be a slut/skank.”

In short, get the fuck out of my fandom.

hell. yes. Avengers is actually one of the best portrayals of a female superhero recently, and anyone critiquing her portrayal needs to sit down and examine exactly why they object to her. (Not that there aren’t valid critiques, but…)
